Summary
This article explains how to conduct Instant Searches by Organization Name in ProviderTrust. Searches return potential matches for Federal Exclusions and State Sanctions (aka State Exclusions) as well as OFAC sanctions lists. Results are flagged with a red Needs Review status and can include details such as organization name, address, exclusion and reinstatement dates, and notes from the exclusion source. If no matches are found, the system displays No results found.
Overview
Organizations contracted for Instant Searches can search by organization name to identify potential matches across Federal Exclusions and State Sanctions (aka State Exclusions).

When searching by organization name, the sources available include:
- Federal and State Exclusions (aka Sanctions)
OFAC (Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs), Blocked Persons, and Consolidated Sanctions Lists)
How to Search by Organization Name
To perform a search:
Enter the Organization Name in the search box.
The system will display any potential matches across the available sources.
Organization Name Result Types
Federal & State Exclusions
If a federal or state exclusion is found with a name match or a similar name, it will be indicated with a red Needs Review Status. If there are multiple exclusions for federal or state sources, they will be listed as individual issues. If an NPI is provided at the exclusion source, it will display beneath the NPI column for easy review.
More details for each potential exclusion can be accessed by clicking on the individual result.
Once a result is selected, details from the source can be accessed by clicking the arrow on the right side of the result.

No Results Found
If there are no results that match the name of the Organization searched, the result will display No results found.
OFAC
If an OFAC result is returned during an Organization Name search, it will be displayed with a red Needs Review status. OFAC results are classified under Other Exclusions. Additional information regarding the OFAC result can be viewed by selecting the individual result.
Once a result is selected, details from the source can be accessed by clicking the arrow on the right side of the result.
