Understanding License Board Action Alerts
ProviderTrust identifies license board actions associated with a provider’s license during the license verification process when this information is available from the primary source.
When a license board action is found, it will be displayed in the following locations:
- Alert Details for a subject in the Alerts Tab
- Individual Audit Report (Alert Reason)
- Configurable Reports generated from the Alerts tab
- Configurable Reports generated from the Population tab
License Board Action Details in Reports
When available, license board action information appears in the following reports:
For configurable reports:
- Population Custom Report
- Most Recent Verified License Action; Column W
- Most Recent Verified License Details; Column X
- Alert Custom Report
- Verified Alert Reason(s); Column CO
- Verified License Action; Column CP
- Verified License Details; Column CQ
For System reports:
The Individual Audit Report will display the Alert Reason(s) as Board Actions
Reviewing Alert Details
To review all Board Actions, navigate to the Alerts tab and use the following filters to display all subjects with Board Actions
Alert Type: Licenses
Select Issuer(s)
Select Type(s)
Select Result(s)
Alert Reasons: Board Actions
If a license board action alert is present, the Alert Reason will display: “There is a board action present” in the Alert Details.
Additional details can be reviewed directly with the state licensing board associated with the alert.
Client Requirements
License board action screening is included as part of the standard license verification process. No additional data submission is required from clients.
Licensing Boards with Primary Source Limitations
Due to primary source limitations, license board actions from the following licensing boards will not generate an alert:
- Mississippi State Board of Examiners for Social Workers and Marriage & Family Therapists
- Kentucky Board of Optometric Examiners
- North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council
