OTV is designed for situations where you need to quickly validate eligibility or compliance status, but do not require continuous tracking or alerts over time.

How OTV Works

With OTV, a subject (e.g., provider, employee, or vendor) is sent for verification through the API. ProviderTrust then performs a one-time check against relevant data sources and returns the results once the search is complete.

• Results are typically returned within 48 hours 
• The check is non-recurring (no ongoing monitoring or re-checks)
• Results are delivered via API response

In addition to the API response, users with the OTV email alert setting enabled will receive a notification when verification is complete. This email serves as an alert that results are ready to be reviewed.

What Can Be Verified with OTV

OTV supports key compliance checks, including:

• Exclusion Checks – Screens against federal and state exclusion lists
• License Verification – Confirms current license status (active, expired, inactive, etc.)
