Summary
This article provides an overview of the Data Management tab, the centralized interface for uploading, reviewing, and administering monitored entity data within the ProviderTrust application. It is intended for users authorized to review and maintain roster files, troubleshoot upload errors, and verify that data modifications are processed successfully. For organizations that manage large or recurring file-based updates, this tab facilitates streamlined intake, validation, and remediation workflows.
Overview
Data Management supports the operational process of maintaining monitoring data through file uploads. It is intended to serve as a central repository for all file uploads and to retain their associated error reporting. The system handles the lifecycle of uploaded files and provides visibility into any errors that occur during processing, so those issues can be tracked and addressed.
Key Features
Review processing status
After a file is submitted, Data Management shows whether the file processed successfully or whether issues were found. This allows users to quickly distinguish between files that completed normally and files that need correction before they can be accepted.
Download error reports
If a file contains issues, you can download a consolidated error report. This report brings all file-level and row-level errors into a single download so you can review what failed, understand why it failed, and make targeted corrections before uploading again.
Correct and re-upload files
Once issues are identified, users can update the source file and submit a corrected version. In most cases, resolving formatting issues, duplicate identifier conflicts, assignment problems, or inconsistent row data will allow the file to process successfully on the next upload.
How Data Management fits into your workflow
For many organizations, Data Management is part of a repeatable operational cycle:
Prepare a source file with monitored subject data.
Upload the file via SFTP.
Review the processing result.
Download the error report if issues are present.
Correct the file and re-upload as needed.
Common reasons users access this tab
Troubleshooting failed uploads
Reviewing validation or formatting issues in source files
Best practice: Before uploading, confirm that your file uses the expected field formats, consistent identifiers, and the correct delimiter. This can reduce avoidable processing errors and speed up file acceptance.
