OFAC, otherwise known as the "Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List", is published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), an Excluding Agency of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
The list contains individuals, groups, and entities that are a.) owned, controlled, or acting on behalf of targeted countries, and b.) terrorist and narcotic traffickers that are not country-specific. A record on the list is considered a "Specially Designated National" and US personnel are prohibited from working with them.
